Time to face their foe. ## Situation ## Hooks * Sneaking around town to avoid goblin patrols * The PCs still don't know why the townsfolk have been turned to Lazarrs * [[Carrina]] is in the mausoleum, trying to force the gate back open * The PCs lit the surrounding fields on fire, and have been killing the townsfolk as they go. * [[Graxim Gamblewemble|Graxim]] can come across an old cart full of [[Humble Gamblewemble's Reinvigorating Wobble-Pop]], and two dead gnomes, the corpses of his parents. * Give them names * [[Grutok, The Omen of Shargaas|Grutok]] doesn't like goblins, so will happily murderhobo his way through swathes of them. * * [[Ardus Aelorian, Noble High Elf Wizard|Ardus]] will want to find the lore. * Burning pile in the middle of the town will offer clues as to what's been lost * *The Thyrren Priests of the Relic Ages* * *The Aeon of Sundering: [[Cinder]] and [[Thyrren]]'s Fight* * *[[Cinder]] in the Ethereal* * legend claims that, looking for a way to cross the chasm after being banished to [[Eid'talinem]], the Old Man looked to use the Ethereal Border to his advantage. He projected himself through the fog, wandering lost for a time. * ## Encounters ### Social * The towns inhabitants have all been turned to [[Lazarr]]s, so social encounters will be a minimum. ### Exploration ##### The Shipyard * Not much here but a few containers of goods destined for [[Syl'Dareth]], some spoiled and rotting. * There is a boat. ##### The Library * Obviously looted. * [[Carrina]] was looking for books regarding [[Kharos|Cinder]], [[Dynast Kleitus]], or [[Thyrren]]. Have the old stories destroyed. ##### [[The Potbellied Kobold]] (Inn) * Goblin stable * Smells _awful_, loud and raucous. * Glass is broken, the door and shutters are off the hinges. The railing has been broken. ##### [[The Expert Gargoyle]] (Magic) * [[Carrina]] would have trashed the shop looking for items to power the Gate below the mausoleum. ##### [[The Broden Sawmill]] * This place is setup to mill lumber for ship repair. ##### The Livery * There is one dead horse here, it's ethereal self tethered to gore and flies. ##### [[The Broden Market]] * This place has been looted, but was once a vibrant and market full of spices and fabrics. The lazaar here are standing at their stalls, as if ready to hawk their wares. * There are a few goblins tormenting some of the lazaar. ##### [[The Ancient Anvil]] ##### [[The Broden Mausoleum]] Broden has used a mausoleum for generations, feeling that burial is a waste of good farming land. Built into the side of the mountain, this place is lit well, and revered. The mausoleum was built overtop a Gate to [[Eid'talinem]], now exiting into the Ethereal Border.
